  1. Good word. Thought provoking! If people would be blind to religious ways they would not be blind to the presence of God. Most people are blind to the presence of God and can view the religious ways better. HHHMMMM! Good Word Paul. I will tweet this and facebook this today!

  3. There are also times when man doesn’t know who the Lord is until He speaks their name. For instance, Mary Magdalene didn’t recognize Jesus after the Resurrection at the tomb, until the Lord spoke to her, saying, “Mary!” This opened her eyes to be able to see and recognize Christ standing before her. “You didnt choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.” -John 15:16″And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” -1 Peter 5:10″Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.” -Ephesians 1:4

  5. I definitely concur, Paul. My deliverance from 37 years of religion and habitual sin resulted because I became desperate, totally humbled myself, and cried out to the Lord for salvation from sinning. Then and only then did He teach me the meaning of His Name. And it was meditating on His Name, hearing what It means over and over, that resulted in faith in the Grace that saved me. http://www.amazingpromise.comPaul, could you add me to your Blogroll?

  7. …Most certainly my dear Brother, your visit and ministry is valued and appreciated. Its a blessing to connect to you online and I look forward to sharing, discovering and building, as servants in the Lord’s work with you online.

  9. I agree about the Lord needing to speak your name in order to recognize Him, Brandon. I had to hear the Lord’s promise to me (us) with my name attached to it over and over before I trusted (in) it (truly believed it) thereby understanding Who He is and obtaining Salvation through His Name! HalleluYAH! See “The Amazing Promise” post and my upcoming book for the details of how this is the very foundation of the Gospel of Grace.

  11. I, likewise, needed to hear Him speaking my name, or rather yelling my name. More so than most, I am of the type that needs to be bludgeoned by a Holy Baseball Bat, before I recognized Him. I have now, finally, gained some wisdom concerning this, God’s rebuke, and His discipline. I know some of the wisdom behind the words to not take it lightly (Hebrews 12). This is what I used to do, by hiding from the conviction, convincing myself that grace covered me, and engaging in the company of those who, “eat, drink and are merry.” Finally, I now know to regard God’s discipline as a blessing and not as a hindrance. Therefore, when He calls my name, I recognize it a lot clearer than I once was able. I will certainly check out your blog, and thanks for your reply. In His Name,–Brandon

  13. I love your heart, Paul! I always cherish meeting other true believers – a Phil Keaggy reference đŸ™‚ and a great song, too – who truly “get it.” Thanks for adding me to your blogroll. I’ll pursue adding a blogroll to my page and get you on it. BTW, could you change the hyperlink behind my name on your blogroll to http://amazingpromise.wordpress.com/2011/06/11/amazing-promise/That will make it point directly to “The Amazing Promise” post; the unique Gospel description. Thank you!
