Q.Do Christians worship JESUS
A. Yes because he alone is the true and living God.
As a man he was not worshipped but as God he alone is worshipped.
As a man, Jesus receives worship several times in the Gospels (Matthew 2:11; 28:9, 17; Luke 24:52; John 9:38; 20:28). As a man he directed all worship to God his Father, he said, “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” (Luke 4;8). Yet as God he receives all worship, Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the LAMB (JESUS) that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto HIM (one singular, JESUS) that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped HIM (JESUS) that liveth for ever and ever. (Rev 5;12).
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the LORD GOD (or the Lord “Jesus” who is God) omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. 10And I fell at his feet to worship HIM. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship GOD: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Rev 19;6-9)
And he (JESUS) said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I WILL BE HIS GOD, and he shall be my son. (Rev 21;6).
