And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. (Acts 4:29-31).
Their prayer was in three parts;-
1. Their prayer for God to consider their threats (v29)
2. That God would enable them to speak the Word with Boldness
3. That God would stretch out his hand to heal and perform signs and wonders in the NAME of Jesus
The apostles reaction to a Governmental ban of Prayer. In opposition to what the government had said they prayer ‘Grant unto they servants that with all boldness they may speak they word‘ They were bold in their preaching and here they were bold in their praying. The church subject to a higher authority met with God’s approval. In times of governmental shutdown they opened up With Prayer
The Result: And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. (Acts 4:29-31).
